"Cavt Tanem", a short film essay, is a tribute from me, a son, to my father. It will soon be five years since the forced separation from my family. Although this time has been unbearable, I see it as an opportunity to reflect on how my father and I ended up in the situations we are currently facing. I have also always been fascinated by drawing parallels and comparisons between the small and the great; for this reason, what you are about to see is not only a personal reflection. It is an attempt to find the boundary where personal responsibility ends amid endless geopolitical instability.
